Our International curriculum engages children in the world of learning, helping them grow and develop in line with the best international practices.\u00a0 Developed by Mrs Helen Maffini, one of the world\u2019s leading Early Childhood Education Specialists, the International curriculum uses the Spiral Curriculum Model.\u00a0 The Spiral Curriculum Model is an approach to education that introduces key concepts to students at a young age and covers these concepts repeatedly throughout each level, with increasing degrees of complexity.\u00a0 Through research proven age-appropriate activities, our play-based curriculum encourages children to develop creativity, confidence and independence.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

STEM Programme<\/strong><\/p>

The STEM programme develops intellectual learning through reasoning, hypothesizing, experimenting and problem solving.\u00a0 It allows students to learn through a hands-on approach and encourages them to ask questions and explore alternative solutions.<\/span><\/p>

Custom Language Programmes<\/b><\/p>

Our Custom English programme includes a comprehensive reading syllabus, phonics and talk partner activities.\u00a0 The talk partner activity develops coherent thinking and \u2018process talk\u2019.\u00a0 It enables children to learn from each other without the pressure of speaking in front of the class.\u00a0 For Chinese learning, a choice of Cantonese or Putonghua sessions can be included daily.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Artist Study<\/b><\/p>

The aim of the Artist Study programme is for children to appreciate works of art by famous artists, be inspired and recreate their own artwork using similar styles or techniques.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Mindfulness Programme<\/b><\/p>

The Mindfulness programme helps our students to be more in touch with how their body feels, the senses they experience, and to understand both their own emotions and other people\u2019s feelings.\u00a0 It also helps children to develop empathy in various life situations.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Writing Preparation (part of language)<\/b><\/p>

Our Journal Programme is a form of free, unstructured writing which commences with the appearance of scribbling and drawing, and eventually becomes legible writing.\u00a0 Children are able to ascribe meaning to their mark making, and understand that their ideas are valued.\u00a0 They express themselves freely, without criticism, and eventually apply their phonics knowledge to write legible sentences.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Sensory Play<\/b><\/p>

Our Sensory Play activities provide opportunities for children to actively use their five senses as they explore the world around them.\u00a0 The activities are related to the theme and help children develop language skills and fine motor skills to prepare them for writing.\u00a0 Sensory play is also calming and helps children regulate their emotions and increases their ability to focus.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
